Precautions for tapered pulley assembly
Tapered sleeve pulleys have many application advantages. The 8-degree outer cone is closely connected with the inner cone of the pulley, which can significantly improve the centering accuracy of the transmission components. In addition, it has good universality and interchangeability and can be used on various occasions. Even if the inner hole and chain groove are damaged in long-term operation, they can only be repaired by replacing the tapered sleeve with precise specifications, thus reducing the subsequent maintenance cost.
Precautions for assembly of taper sleeve pulley:
(1) The first cleaning before and after the assembly of the conical sleeve pulley must use gasoline to ensure that the parts are clean and dry, the mating surface is tight, free of oil stains, and sufficient friction.
(2) Before assembling hexagon socket head bolts, they should be cleaned and wiped dry with gasoline. Do not apply lubricating oil or grease on the bolt or screw hole to ensure that the bolt has sufficient friction and self-locking capacity after tightening.
(3) When installing the 3 hexagon socket head bolts, tighten them, in turn, to ensure that the conical sleeve is subjected to uniform axial force and that the pulley and conical sleeve are coaxial.
(4) Before installation, check and measure the length of the hexagon socket head bolt for assembly to ensure that the assembly bolt can bear the bottom of the blind hole of the conical sleeve after being tightened to ensure that the conical surface fits closely, and ensure that the bolt is subject to the reverse thrust at the bottom of the blind hole, to produce a double locking effect, which is the same as the principle of the nut.
(5) After the conical sleeve pulley is tightened, check and adjust the relative positions of the primary pulley and driven pulley through the cable to ensure that the 2 pulleys are on the same plane and the belt tension is moderate.
(6) The pulley cover shall be intact and firmly installed to ensure that the belt is broken or the pulley is loose or withdrawn during operation, thus leading to significant safety accidents.
(7) After years of long-term operation of mechanical equipment, the condition of inner holes and chain grooves must be checked regularly. Otherwise, they may be damaged. The spare parts shall be replaced in time if any defect is found.
